Thekkady is located about 257 km (160 mi) from Trivandrum, 114 km from Madurai City and Madurai Airport, 145 km from Cochin International Airport and 114 km from Kottayam railway station. Thekkady is located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs.
The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is spread across 777 km2 (300 sq mi), of which 360 km2 (140 sq mi) is thick evergreen forest. The wildlife sanctuary was declared a tiger reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. The greatest attractions of Periyar are the herds of wild elephants, deer and bison that come down to drink in the lake. The sanctuary can be accessed through a trekking, boating or jeep safari.

Day 1Cochin

Arrive at Kochi for your Backwater Journey. Our Representative will welcome and escort to the hotel. Stay relaxed by enjoying the first day in God’s own country., let’s enjoy Sightseeing at Kochi, the oldest European church in India, St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Santa Cruz Basilica, the fishing market & the famous Chinese fishing nets. If you like to buy some memento from the city for keeping as a memory of your journey you can buy it.

Day 2Munnar

The Morning after breakfast Enroute visit Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Vallara Waterfalls. On your way enjoy the beautiful tea gardens of Munnar. Reach and Check in to your resort. Overnight stay at the resort

Day 3Munnar

The Morning after breakfast, proceed for sightseeing including Mattupetty Dam, Kundala, Echo Pint, Blossom Park, Rose Garden, Tea Museum. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 4Munnar

After refreshment lets visit Top Station, Rajamala & Eravikulam national park. The evening is optional to visit Pallivasal waterfalls and blossom park. Relax and overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 5Munnar - Thekkady

After a delicious breakfast, check out the hotel at Munnar. To the next destination- Thekkady. Reaching by noon. Checking into the hotel. Let’s move to boat voyage in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Spice Plantation visit and Elephant Ride. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.

Day 6Thekkady - Alleppey

After a tasty breakfast, vacate the hotel in Thekkady. Drive to Alleppey which has natural beauty in abundance. You can spend the day in backwater cruise, with Welcome Drink, Lunch, Tea Snacks, Dinner, Breakfast. You can view many small villages & lakes. Night stay in one Village.

Day 7Kanyakumari

Morning, drive to Trivandrum City for a short sightseeing around the city. This includes a visit to the Napier Museum, Sri Chithira Art Gallery, Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple premises and Kuthiramalika Museum. Overnight stay in the Hotel at Kovalam.

Day 8Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari is the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula and the meeting point of three seas, namely Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. En route you should never miss the Padmanabhapuram Palace, the largest wooden palace in the World and the magnificent Sucheendram Temple, where the Trinities are worshipped. At Kanyakumari, you can visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Kanyakumari Devi Temple.

Day 9Check Out

After breakfast check out from resort way back to Hometown. Tour End.
